Abortion is a winning issue
Rolling Stone Magazine proclaimed today that “Abortion won almost everywhere.” Except that it didn’t.
The Democratic Party ran on a singular issue this election cycle: abortion without limits. How did this strategy work?
They lost the White House.
They lost the Senate.
As of this writing, it looks they will fail to retake the House.
As of this writing, they have lost three Senate seats and three House seats, while the Pro-Life Party have lost none.
As of this writing, it looks like they’ll lose 6 out of 9 elections for the all-important position of Attorney General, including Pennsylvania where the Republican leads by 4.7 points with 96% of the vote counted.
It is true that the Abortion Party has had success winning a string of ballot initiatives at the state level, but that winning streak ended yesterday as their efforts were rebuffed in Florida and South Dakota.
Abortion without limits is a losing proposition as long as the pro-life side remains on offense by exposing the extremism of the Abortion Party. The Pro-Life movement needs to mount more effective strategies to keep these ballot initiatives from seeing the light of day.
For every two steps forward, we take one step back. Yesterday was no different.
Congratulations to all of the pro-life candidates who prevailed in their elections yesterday. Remember, abortion is a winning issue for pro-life candidates who remain on offense.
