IN VITRO FERTILIZATION
In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a fertility treatment where eggs are fertilized with sperm outside the body, and then the resulting embryos are transferred to the uterus.
IVF violates human dignity. Science and technology have made many contributions to our everyday life. But just because we can do something, doesn't mean we should; and doesn't mean it is ethically right.
It is a scientific fact that human life begins at the moment of fertilization. From his or her beginnings, a human embryo has a unique DNA & fingerprints. "From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person." CCC 2270 When this fundamental moral line is violated, people become devalued.
