The Nicene Creed is a medicine for our times. We live in an era when many say you have your truth and I have my truth, suggesting that truth is malleable. The Nicene Creed is an affirmation that the Truth of our faith is firm and timeless, just as set today as it was when the Creed was written more than 16 centuries ago. Another baby saved by the Safe Haven Law!
Through the Safe Haven Law, a baby girl, born March 6 is now in the care and custody of the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and will be placed with a foster family until permanent placement is determined. This brings the overall total to 80 infants since the law went into effect more than two decades ago.
