The demonic impact of abortion

Charlie Kirk

Pulse Life Advocates posted the meme above on Facebook last month. The caption read,

“Charlie Kirk was tragically gunned down one year ago today. He was a tireless defender of the unborn and will be forever in our hearts.”

We received what can only be characterized as a demonic response. We’ll share some edited examples shortly.

The word ‘demonic’ certainly ruffles the feathers of secular readers of this essay. But demonic influence is clearly present, because the depth of evil runs so deep.

Bishop Robert Barron commented in his Monday Word on Fire podcast words to that effect:

“… there exists a fallen spiritual force that lies behind the dysfunctional structures of society and the twisted wills of individual sinners … I think anyone who’s lived a little while knows, I can’t explain the depth of evil that I see simply by appealing to fallen human beings. I think there’s a level of evil that is so deep, it’s so profound, that we say, no, there’s something else going on.”

And what is that fallen spiritual force? The devil.

The Devil at work

Prompted by the devil, one Facebook responder wrote:

“Charlie Kirk is a piece of sh*t.”

St. Augustine said evil is a “privation of good,” a conscious turning away from the will of God. And for him, it was a choice as he wrote in “Confessions”:

“I became evil for no reason. I had no motive for my wickedness except wickedness itself. It was foul, and I loved it.”

The men and women who responded to us clearly revel in their evil:

“We all owe Tyler Robinson an incredible debt of gratitude for eliminating that vile, racist, Nazi bastard. Enjoy your eternity in hell rooming with Lindsey Graham, Chuckie kirkkk [sic]!”

The lack of compassion demonstrated by these writers is remarkable:

“Ole Chuck, always fighting to have more children in the world for him to groom.”

“Abortion is the demonic parody of the Eucharist”

The Roe v Wade decision unleashed an evil holocaust that has left 64 million unique human beings dead on the altar of abortion. As Catholic philosopher, Peter Kreeft, explained:

“Abortion is the Antichrist’s demonic parody of the Eucharist. That’s why it uses the same holy words, ‘This is my body,’ with the blasphemous opposite meaning.”

Former Satanic High Wizard, Zachary King, converted to Catholicism and confirmed Kreeft’s assessment of abortion. He said that high-level occult groups used abortion to secure spiritual power and hexes from the devil.

The hate generated against Charlie Kirk doesn’t square with historic norms. He was a family man who left behind a wife and two young children. He went into the public square to initiate respectful dialogue with people with whom he disagreed. The hate directed at him is so perverse, so out of whack, that it showcases the dark spiritual forces to which Bishop Barron referred above.

Such cruelty

More comments from our Facebook post:

“Charlie Kirk was a f*****g loser.”

“If he was pro-life then why did he stop living.”

“Charlie was a racist hater. He got what he asked for.”

“You know what’s even more pathetic? A woman whose garbage ideology is more important than her own autonomy, value or rights! How disgustingly embarrassing for you!”

“Charlie Kirk got EXACTLY what he deserved!

“Karma has a way of setting things right, even if it is a pain in the neck!” pastedGraphic.png

The laughing emoji takes the cruelty of the comment over the top.

There are countless more comments like these. And we left the worst ones off. You can really see the demonic impact when it comes to abortion.

Abortion unleashed, and continues to unleash, a growing wave of evil among its unfiltered, unloving supporters.

Pray for the supporters of abortion

All of these ugly persons are redeemable. St. Augustine is a prime example. He said he became evil for no reason, other than he loved it. And yet the power of God’s love was too great for him to resist.

The same man who reveled in his own evil, as so many of the commenters above do, was reborn into a loving human being who exclaimed to God:

“Late have I loved you, O Beauty ever ancient, ever new, late have I loved you! You were within me, but I was outside, and it was there that I searched for you.”

The spark of divine burns within each of us. Pray for these hateful people that they open their hearts to the loving spark of the divine.

Fundamentally, abortion is spiritual warfare. If you’re not praying for the unborn, you’re spinning your wheels. Add to your list to pray for abortions’ supporters. They are lost and in desperate need of God’s grace.
