The secret to pro-life outreach
The late great Christian evangelist, Billy Graham, said there are three key steps to preparing for evangelical outreach:
- Prayer.
- Prayer.
- Prayer.

Billy Graham provided a great rebuttal to those who denigrate prayer with this explanation for what it is:
“Prayer is more than a wish; it is the voice of faith directed to God.”
He expanded on this profound thought:
“Have you ever said, ‘Well, all we can do now is pray’? … When we come to the end of ourselves, we come to the beginning of God.”
Have you hit a brick wall?

Your participation in either of our two upcoming prayer events will be one of the most important things you ever do. Pope Leo’s quote on prayer explains:
“Time spent in prayer is the most fruitful investment of one’s life …Those who do not speak enough with God cannot speak of God!”
And Pope Francis said that prayer unites us:
“Prayer makes us brothers and sisters.”
Think about that. Prayer unites us with our unborn brothers and sisters. But it also connects us with our prodigal daughters and sons who have been entrapped in the lies of the abortion industry.
Yes, they anger and frustrate us for the pain and suffering their actions cause. But they are still God’s creation, in desperate need of our prayers to liberate them from the hellish trade they’ve chosen.
Those who escape often become the best evangelists for the pro-life movement and an answer to a prayer!
Change the world!
Now you may be thinking to yourself that you don’t have time to stand on the Life Chain for ninety minutes or in front of Planned Parenthood for an hour. We understand. Come as long as you’re able, even if it’s only for twenty minutes.
But the sacrifice of your time is magnified in God’s eyes. And Saint Pope John Paul the Great says your sacrifice will change the world:
“Prayer joined to sacrifice constitutes the most powerful force in human history.”
Remember that:
Put Prayer AND Sacrifice together and you can change the world.
So the secret to pro-life outreach is prayer. Pray at home. Pray at church. Pray in the car. Pray at the Life Chain. Pray as part of 40 Days for Life.
