America250 is ALL about the unborn

Pulse Life Advocates is a proud participant in America250, the countdown to America’s 250th anniversary.

This bi-partisan project calls on every state in the union to tell America’s singular story through the eyes of every day Americans. The official America 250 website says:

“On July 4, 2026, our nation will commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The journey toward this historic milestone is an opportunity to pause and reflect on our nation’s past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead toward the future we want to create for the next generation and beyond.”

And what exactly is this future? It MUST be a future that honors the human rights of our unborn brothers and sisters as explicated in the Declaration of Independence.

It must be a future that honors the charge put forth in the preamble of our Constitution:

“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a MORE PERFECT Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our POSTERITY …”

Who is our posterity? Our unborn brothers and sisters! The Declaration is all about the unborn, who are fully alive, fully human at the instant of conception.

The Declaration forged a new path never before seen in human history, that each human being enjoys unearned, God-given rights, beginning with LIFE.

Abortion is a direct assault on our posterity, violating the very foundations of the Declaration and our Constitution.

Pulse executive director, Maggie DeWitte

Pulse Life Advocates leapt at the opportunity to tell the story of our unborn brothers and sisters by being one of the first organizations in Iowa to launch a project.

Watch the fruit of our labors above, presented by Pulse executive director, Maggie DeWitte.  It premiered at our November 22nd Christmas Gala to thunderous applause. Attendees went away with such a sense of optimism after viewing it.

For example, Staci Gelbach had this reaction:

“I had a wonderful time at the Pulse Life Gala!  I thought Kristan Hawkins was incredibly smart and inspiring,  But honestly, the highlight of the night for me was Maggie DeWitte’s video presentation and speech.  She highlighted all the amazing work Pulse did this past year and I was in awe of her dedication and tenacity.  This is the best event of the year for my husband and I.  We can’t wait for next year!”

Julie Nelson, host of “Catholic Women Now” available at Iowa Catholic Radio, was also uplifted:

“There was an atmosphere of hope that was elevated more than ever. It was a celebration of the progress that has been made locally and nationally for the pro-life cause. While these victories are important, Kristin Hawkins’ passion for pro-life awareness brought a surge to keep laboring in the vineyard to keep moving forward.”

Tim Stacy agreed:

“I was inspired by Kristan Hawkins. She was very optimistic that we are winning the war for the unborn. It is just a matter of time. Planned Parenthood Sites are closing all over the country.”

Pulse’s America250 film isn’t a one-off sort of project. Our hope is that this will be seen by millions of young Americans for years, decades, and centuries to come. That is what America250 is all about:

“America250’s nationwide initiative to preserve the voices of everyday Americans has officially launched! We have embarked on a historic journey to collect the largest audiovisual archive of American stories ever created.”

Stand in the gap for the unborn

Sadly, the unborn don’t have a voice … yet. So Pulse stands in the gap to speak up on their behalf.

Big Abortion’s profiteers want to block this message. But America250 provides us a work-around. 

This is a chance to tell the American story that makes sense, that rings true, and that restates the essence of a country that provides unheard of benefits and hopefulness, the likes of which the world has never seen. Ever.

Share the video above everywhere. America has something worth shouting from the mountain tops: 

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

We are so proud to be Americans. But we acknowledge our country has a blind spot. 

First it was the slaves. We viewed them as being less than human. It cost us dearly, but righteousness eventually prevailed.

Now its the unborn. We view them as being less than human. It is costing us dearly. Sixty-five million Americans have been aborted.

Righteousness WILL prevail. But it is going to take a helluva fight. And Pulse is on the front lines here in Iowa doing our part to once again realize the full meaning and potential of the Declaration of Independence.
