Davenport Iowa Has a New Baby Box!

Safe Haven Baby Boxes and MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center are happy to announce the official unveiling of the newest Safe Haven Baby Box! This blessing marks the 481st Safe Haven Baby Box in the nation and the 5th in Iowa, expanding access to safe, anonymous surrender options for mothers in crisis.

The Safe Haven Baby Box was made possible through charitable gifts to the MercyOne Genesis Foundation and was fueled by the passion, commitment, and generosity of people who believed in its mission.

The public is welcome to attend the blessing ceremony tomorrow, Oct. 19, at 9:30 a.m. at MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center at 1227 East Rusholme Street, Davenport, IA 52803.
