Slate: Planned Parenthood’s 3% figure is ‘the most meaningless abortion statistic ever’
For years Planned Parenthood has claimed that abortion only makes up a measly, piddling “3%” of its services.
The statistic is nonsense. But most people never bother to question it, and with the mainstream media repeating the figure ad nauseam the 3% lie has been a gadfly in the face of pro-life efforts to inform the public and get Planned Parenthood’s half a billion dollars in taxpayer funding yanked.

Over 1000 people braved the heat at the capital yesterday at the Truth Exposed rally in Des Moines to protest the sickening videos about Planned Parenthood’s program of selling body parts of aborted children.
The rally was organized by Iowa Right to Life and WHO radio host Simon Conway.
Governor Terry Branstad, Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds, Senator Joni Ernst, Congressman David Young, Congresman Steve King, Rick Santorum, and representatives for many of the other presidential campaigns were among those who spoke.
August 13, 2015 (CatholicStand) — Recently the investigative journalism conducted by David Daleiden who started the Center for Medical Progress has provided a raw look into the minds of the people involved in the “human capital” abortion industry. As the videos continue to come out and lawsuits are filed threatening to suppress free speech and journalism, perhaps this is a good time to look more broadly at the sale and use of aborted fetuses in scientific research.
One does not need to conduct an undercover investigation to discover “human capital.” The facts are in the academic record, and they offer cold hard evidence that what Daleiden is revealing is not only true, but spans far, deep, and wide across time and locale.
Democrats in the U.S. Senate filibustered a sex trafficking bill yesterday, the same exact bill they dramatically supported until a week ago. Why the change of heart? Until last week, they weren’t told by the abortion lobby that they had to fight it.
The brief bill, which would create a fund for victims based on fees assessed to sex traffickers, enjoyed broad bipartisan support. In fact, it had no opposition.
That was, it had no other opposition until the controversial abortion rights groups NARAL and Planned Parenthood realized at the very last second that a gravy train of federal funds for groups that abort unborn children might be at risk.
A new study finds the use of birth control pills is associated with significantly lower cortical thickness in certain brain structures believed to be important in the response to emotional stimuli.
The study, published by the journal Human Brain Mapping, states that oral contraceptives (OCs) “contain steroid hormones that may affect the brain’s structure and function.”
