VENERATION OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE...

The Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe brought consolation and hope to many people this April, with 25 visits in 18 days. Our Lady was honored by Bishop Joensen with a Holy Hour, spent 2 days at Dowling Catholic High School with 4 Masses and 12 hours of adoration. There was a rosary at the State Capitol, a Mass and Healing Service at St. Ambrose, and a school presentation. She was honored at the Women of Worth performance, presided over prayer vigils at the 6 remaining Planned Parenthoods at Drake, Urbandale, Ames, Sioux City, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, and the Emma Goldman clinic.

Most moving was the devout veneration at 5 Spanish Masses and 4 English parish Masses.

In a special grace, Our Lady’s heartbeat was heard, her eyes opened and closed and the strong perfume of roses was in the air.

Our Lady of Guadalupe is a powerful pro-life Intercessor.

The Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is one of only four (4’X6’) digital replicas of the miraculous tilma of Juan Diego.  Blessed at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City, it travels the world bringing conversions, healings, reconciliations and graces.

In 2012, Iowa had 26 Planned Parenthood clinics. Today, it has just six. Prolife advocates attribute the closing of the clinics to intercession from Our Lady of Guadalupe.

In 2012, a team of volunteers wrote to the Apostolate of the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, in Vermont, asking for a visit to Iowa. From March 25-April 9 that year, the image traveled to Planned Parenthood clinics, churches, schools, and rehabilitation centers. Another visitation occurred in 2019.
